Roger G. Branton, CEO and CFO
Roger has been involved in all the stages of growth of Vislink Technologies, including the start-up phase, obtaining growth capital through initial public offerings and follow on acquisitions of complementary companies.
Roger works in a wide variety of roles, including management, finance, accounting, tax; international dealings, restructurings/turnarounds, business startups, mergers and acquisitions, securities, legal, investment banking, consulting, negotiating and structuring transactions, licensing; regulatory issues, and risk management. Roger has invaluable international experience and relationships, and has been involved in each of the various stages of business from start-up, to private placements, to commercialization, to IPO on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and NASDAQ, to exit.
Roger co-founded Mooers Branton & Company and MB Merchant Group, LLC with Rick Mooers in 1997. Mooers Branton & Company is an international merchant bank which provides early-stage financing to emerging businesses. Mooers Branton & Company manages its portfolio of investments through the privately held company, MB Merchant Group, LLC. Together with Rick Mooers and Joe Bobier, Roger co-founded Vislink in August 2002.
In 2010, Roger co-founded MB Technology Holdings, LLC (MBTH) with Rick Mooers and George Schmitt. Mr. Branton is a director of MBTH.
In 1989, Roger graduated from West Chester University in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He trained as a certified public accountant and previously worked for an investment/merchant bank which specialized in the technology, agriculture, and environmental industries, where his duties included acting as interim chief financial officer for several companies within its investment portfolio.
John Payne IV, President and COO
John Payne IV serves as president and chief operating officer of Vislink Technologies with responsibility for all IMT and Vislink business operations worldwide. He is also a corporate officer of Vislink Techologies. John previously served as president of IMT USA, with responsibility for IMT’s operations in the Americas, and earlier was president of the xG Technology IMT Business Unit from the time IMT was acquired by xG in January 2016. Prior to the acquisition, John served as IMT’s Chief Technology Officer and VP of Engineering from February 2012 to January 2015. In January 2015, he became Chief Operating Officer of IMT through January 2016 while continuing as Chief Technology Officer. From August 2010 through March 2012, John was the Vice President of Technology for IMT, a Vitec Group company. From 1996 through August 2010, John worked for Nucomm, Inc. in various positions, including as Vice President of Engineering.
John holds several patents in the area of wireless communications and is considered an industry expert in the wireless video communication industry related to broadcast television and military and civil manned and unmanned systems. John has a Master of Science in communication systems from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Paul Norridge, Head of Finance
Paul manages the global financial operations for Vislink Technologies, which includes the monthly closing of financial statements, cash management, implementation and adhering to new accounting policies in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Mr. Norridge also manages the supply chain for vendors, participates in quarterly and annual strategic planning for the business and leads the integration of acquisitions as it relates to financial reporting. He also has extensive experience with public company reporting, both in the US and London Stock Exchange.
Previously, Paul worked in our UK office, where he served as a Group Financial Controller of Vislink since joining the company in 2008. Paul relocated to the US in 2017, primarily leading our Billerica office and since working mainly from our headquarters in Hackettstown, NJ.
Prior to joining Vislink, Paul served as Finance Manager for three years with Centennial Software where he specialized in preparing monthly financial statements and overseeing daily accounts receivable and cash management. Previous to that, Paul was employed by Randstad UK from 1995 until 2005. Paul began his tenure there as a financial accountant, was promoted to business analyst in 1999 and then to financial controller in 2002.
John Procacci, Vice President of Sales
John brings over 25 years of successful sales and business development experience representing technical product manufacturers, with 12 years focused on engineered products targeting DoD and Federal program requirements. Most recently, he served as Business Development Director at Mercury Systems, a leading commercial defense electronics company, where he drove growth across business lines by selling comprehensive solutions across the sensor processing chain. In previous positions he served as Business Development Manager responsible for new market penetration for digital video transmit/receive solutions, with a specific focus on DoD and government customers for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and covert surveillance applications. He has also spearheaded sales of microwave component and subsystem solutions to DoD prime contractors.
John also holds memberships in the following professional associations: Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI); Association of the United States Army (AUSA); Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA); and National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA).
David Robins, Global Sales Director
David is responsible for driving sales excellence in RoW (Rest of World) markets for the company, and develops and implements strategies and plans targeted to deliver long term revenue and profit growth. He is also responsible for managing our sales managers around the globe, ensuring they’re efficient, effective and successfully leading and mentoring their teams.
With 20 years’ experience at Vislink, David has held a number of customer-facing roles including Global Channel and Sales Operations Manager where his responsibility included driving growth through the Vislink Partner network, integrating a new CRM tool into the business and improving sales efficiency.
A talented electronic engineer by trade, David was the winner of the prestigious ‘UK Tech award’ for the design and development of a flight transponder that was used in ‘information friend or foe’ (IFF) systems by several national air forces. He received a National Diploma for Business, Mathematics and Engineering from the University of Bedfordshire (UK) before embarking on a career in international sales in 2002.
Daniel Carpini, Vice President of Marketing and PR
Daniel Carpini holds responsibility for all key corporate marketing functions for Vislink Technologies and its brands IMT and Vislink. He is an established technology marketing content and communications professional who has played a lead role in creating brand recognition and thought leadership for a number of companies over the course of his career. His specialty is identifying and conveying an organization’s core persona, attributes and value proposition in ways that help drive brand awareness, customer engagement and revenue generation. At Vislink Technologies he has oversight over content development, external communications and website CMS (content management systems).
Daniel began his career on Wall Street in the international banking sector, and spent time in financial sales and marketing. He then relocated to Montréal, Canada where he co-founded one of Canada’s first value-added software reseller organizations, offering premium services including life-cycle management, decision-making resources and customized product sourcing. He grew that company from a start-up concept into one of the leading Canadian providers of computer software, systems and services to government agencies, blue-chip companies and consumers. He later founded companies in health-care distribution, magazine publishing and medical specialty marketing.
Daniel holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in international marketing and cross-cultural communications, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from Iona College.
